Since 1992, Robin Johnson started Robin’s Tile and Stone in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Robin had a vision of cutting birds and flowers out of tile, but didn’t know how to make the vision into reality. A friend recommended The Gemini Saw Co. , who at the time only made saws for stained glass. Using saws that were made to cut stained glass, Robin continued on with her vision and began creating unique tile works with Gemini’s Saws. For thirteen years she has been representing Gemini Saw Company at Surfaces and Coverings Tile Shows.
Seven years later, Robin relocated her company to Las Vegas and has hit the ground running. Since then, Gemini has built the “XT” saw to cut big body tiles and stone. With the great addition to the industry Robin has continued to create custom inlayed murals and medallions. She is able to envision what the customer wants and creates their vision handcrafted into something that you can’t buy at a store. The end result is the clients appreciation for the tile works that Robin creates for them.
